I’m just a suburbs girl living in a lonely world. I took the midnight train…well moving truck…going to Chicago. Now I’m here with one foot in day-job and the other in the art world. I quit my job as an Assistant Manager for Starbucks and did a little revamping in my life. Things got off to a great start and I was glad to be a part of that plan. It’s was a much better plan. I started a new job as an after-school teacher at a local K-8. Now I run that same program. It’s a great chance to give back to those little bastards.
I’m an artist, director, musician and relish in the joys of a Nikon D50. I have piercings, two tattoos and am always in the works for another. I dabble in many forms of art including graphic design, jewelry making, scrap booking and cello playing. I’m a horible speler and my grammar ain’t good. My secret dream is to be a suicide girl. Well…it was a secret. I was just married on Halloween of 2007 to the best boy in the world.
That’s enough about me, let me tell you about what I hope this blog will be.
The home page: Well…it’s a blog. So my ramblings.
The girl page: This page! Look around. It’s me…about me and my blogness.
The music page: Music has always been a huge part of my life. I’ve played tons of instruments, danced and been to many a band camp. There is just something about it that is so primal and original to who we are as people…as animals. Here I’ll leave some songs I love with lyrics and why I love them ever week. So for your weekly dose of crappy music that makes you want to die on the inside, cozy on up! As I update I will move the old songs and lyrics to the blog for posterity.
The picture page: I have a Nikon D50 and have taken about a billion pictures so far. Anyway instead of cluttering up the blog with posts of just pictures I have a seperate photo-blog. You can link to it from that page or see the link in the side bar.
The places page: This is a collection of links and places I spend my online time. If it’s here I think it’s awesome so check it!
Virtual Tour of Our Apartment: So my family can see where I live.
ENJOY!
